Brief History & Background:

Satish Misal Education Foundation (SMEF) is a non-profit organization in India with a goal to contribute towards a Just, equitable, humane and sustainable society. SMEF‟s Brick School of Architecture founded in 2013 under the leadership of Ms. Pooja Misal with strong support
SMEF‟s Brick School of Architecture offered 5 years full time Bachelor of Architecture course. The Institute is recognized by apex body of Council of Architecture, New Delhi and Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Government of Maharashtra. It is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Vision:

To create an inclusive learning atmosphere where teachers effectively engage with students and impart the ability to communicate, collaborate and compete in a global economy with strong skills, in-depth knowledge and humility. To provide quality education to design professionals with pedagogical strategies, innovation, and creativity while connecting theory and practical by engaging professionals, educators, and practitioners.

Mission:

To design curriculums not confined to academics, but also related to collaboration, social connections, emotions and feelings. To support eco-friendly practices and contribute towards a sustainable future through the learning process. To generate resourceful and interactive learning environments. To embrace leadership as a trait of entrepreneurship and help students fuel their dreams with all the support possible.

Our College is approved by Council of Architecture recognized by Govt. of Maharashtra Directorate of Technical Education of Maharashtra and Affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The college has a Governing Body and College Development Committee as per the provisions of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act 2016. It follows the regulations and amendment of Government from time to time.
The College comes under “Non-Grant” category; therefore financial transactions are audited by the private auditors. The college has different Bodies to maintain all types of discipline in the in the campus. All the cells or committees of the institutions are under Statutory Bodies. The applications under the RTI Act along with a postal order/demand draft for Rs. 10.00 obtained in favor of SMEF‟s Brick School of Architecture. This application may be sent to the Public Relation Officer (PRO) or handed over in his/her office. All information about the college is open for the public and it can it obtained by citizens of India.
